Charpy pendulums
This apparatus is used to determine the tension of steel and resistance to impact bending. The machine is equipped with a pendulum drop hammer, capable of breaking a notched specimen in the middle located on two supports with a single blow.
The test is carried out on a Charpy specimen to verify the energy absorbed during impact, which is measured in Joules. This value represents the impact resistance of the material tested (resilience). Tests are carried out automatically, and it is operated from a user-friendly and intuitive touchscreen. Its protection has a sliding polycarbonate door with electrical interlock complying with the CE marking.
The pendulum is supplied with:
-Charpy impact blades according to ASTM and ISO
-Foundation base
-Self-centering clamps for specimen placement
-Pendulum geometry verification template
-Data acquisition software to connect to a PC
