The Vebe test is used to measure the consistency of stiff to extremely dry concrete.
Consistency is determined by measuring the time required for a given mass of concrete to consolidate when subjected to vibration in a ylindrical mould.
The small vibrating table of the test apparatus operates at a fixed amplitude and frequency.
