Designed to automatically perform the consolidation test, which serves to determine the rate and magnitude of consolidation of a soil sample when a lateral restraint is applied and it is subjected to a series of successive increments of vertical loads.
Everything is controlled from a computer to eliminate or minimize any form of manual intervention required for oedometer testing. Furthermore, the oedometer’s versatility allows it to be used for various additional tests:
– Lambe test UNE-103600
– Unconfined compression
– Consolidation in samples for the direct shear test
Automated loading eliminates negative factors such as potential operator error and manual handling of dead weights. The test can be performed 24/7 without interruption, resulting in increased testing efficiency and significant cost reductions. It also performs incremental load control, applying or removing loads without operator intervention. No compressed air source is required. Smaller than a traditional oedometer, it occupies less space in your laboratory.
The machine is supplied with a 10 kN load cell, 10 mm LVDT displacement transducer with stand but without oedometer cells, computer or software which must be ordered separately.
