Designed to measure the resistance of gravel to the grinding action of vehicle tires on a road surface, simulating real road conditions. The test consists of placing a sample on the rotating wheel of the equipment.
As the wheel rotates, it makes contact with a solid rubber tire, which is pressed by springs. At this point, the abrasive material is automatically fed in from the equipment’s two hoppers, and water is supplied from the container at a controlled rate via a regulator. During the test, the indicator displays the remaining time and the rotation speed of the wheel holding the samples.
The equipment consists of a digital control panel, a rubber wheel for grain, a rubber wheel for emery powder, four sample molds and two mold lids.
