This test determines the abrasion resistance of terrazzo tiles according to three established usage types (normal, intensive, and industrial). The test consists of measuring the indentation produced by a rotating disc in the presence of an abrasive substance over a specified period of time.
It has an electromechanical drive, with a Ø200×70 mm thick disc. The disc’s pressure on the test specimen is applied by a 14 kg counterweight. A 10 L hopper is mounted on the adjustable support for storing the abrasive material. The testing area is in a fully enclosed bench to prevent dust and noise from spreading in the laboratory.
There is a switch on the doors that automatically stops the machine when they are opened, as indicated by CE regulations.
