This machine has been designed to separate and extract asphalt using perchloroethylene/tetrachloroethylene solvents and sieves. Complete and effective separation of coarse and fine aggregates is achieved through centrifugal action and the recovery of the solvent.

The entire cycle is carried out automatically. A single complete cycle is sufficient for the test. First, washing, disaggregation, and separation of the bituminous mixture; then, separation of the load from the solution formed by solvent, bitumen, and load; and finally, recovery and
distillation of the solvent material, allowing for greater reuse.

The unit comprises:

– An electromagnetic sieving unit to ensure high-quality double vibratory action (vertical/rotational) with a solvent spray cover for washing and disaggregating the sample.
– A continuous-flow, filterless centrifuge with a rotation speed of 11,000 rpm, equipped with a Ø120 mm stainless steel beaker and a filling capacity of 400 g.
– A solvent recovery unit with a recovery capacity of 50 l/h, equipped with a cooling system and automatic on/off operation.
– A separate control panel that allows programming of all these functions in a fully automatic system. Manual control is also available.

The unit is supplied with two Ø120 mm stainless steel cups, four Ø200 mm mesh sieves of 0.063 – 0.250 – 0.800 – 2 mm, a Ø200 mm sieve frame only to improve the capacity of the first sieve and a set of O-rings.
