This device is used to measure the thickness of concrete cover over steel reinforcing bars and metal pipes. It can be used to identify the location, orientation, and diameter of the reinforcing bars.
The basic unit can be supplemented with a series of optional probes for determining different values.
The device uses pulse induction technology and includes a robust, waterproof carrying case with space for the probes for enhanced portability. It offers a selection of 21 different rod diameters, ranging from 5 to 50 mm.
