It is a portable and lightweight instrument that operates on battery power and incorporates a microprocessor that is used to determine homogeneity and structural integrity, which is done by measuring the propagation time of sonic and ultrasonic impulses through concrete.
The propagation speed depends on the density and elastic properties of the material. By comparing propagation speeds, homogeneity is assessed to identify potential cracks, voids, internal fissures, anomalies, and inhomogeneity in elastic properties.
It comes with 2 x 55kHz probes with connection cables, a rechargeable battery, charger and carrying case.
Measurement range: 0 to 3000 μs
Ultrasonic pulse amplitude: from 250 to 1000 V
Storage: up to 30,000 samples
Case dimensions: 400 x 340 x 110 mm
Weight: 2 kg
