Made of stainless steel with insulating fiberglass, this device is used to determine the ductility of asphalt or bitumen by measuring the elongation before breakage when the ends of briquette samples are separated at a specific speed and temperature. It consists of a mobile carriage that travels along two guides. The carriage is driven by an electric motor and is located inside a large tank equipped with a digital thermostat, an electric immersion heater, a cooling coil for cold water circulation, and a pump. It can test up to three samples simultaneously and features a double safety thermostat to prevent accidental overheating.
Equipped with a refrigeration unit for testing with water at temperatures from +5° to +25°C.
