Modulus of Elasticity for concrete testing

Reference: HR100
Standards: EN 12390-13, 13412, 13286-43 | ASTM C469 | ISO 6784 | DIN 1048 | BS 1888:121

Advanced control system used primarily in automatic compression, bending and indirect tensile testing of concrete and determinations of the elastic modulus and Poisson’s ratio.

Essentially, the system consists of a console that houses the hydraulic unit and the control module. The system must be connected to the appropriate racks (2000 or 3000 kN).

To determine the modulus of elasticity, the sample must be subjected to a sequence of loading and unloading cycles at a controlled loading rate. The system’s hydraulic unit includes a high-performance valve that allows for automatic control of the oil flow with precise increments and decrements, measuring both longitudinal and transverse deformation. A laser position detector enables rapid piston positioning and highly accurate contact point. This provides high test sensitivity, starting at approximately 0.1 per thousand of the maximum capacity.

The determination of Young’s modulus and Poisson’s ratio allows programming of test cycles and sequences by phases customized by the user.
