Universal 20 kN press for educational trials

Reference: AC161

This machine has been designed to measure the strength of metallic materials and study their different behaviors when subjected to different stresses, such as tensile, shear, compression and bending tests and Brinell hardness tests.

The press is primarily for educational purposes and intended for use in higher education institutions or universities, and allows students of materials science to have a practical approach to applications that have so far been studied only at a theoretical level.

The machine is manually controlled, while the readings can be analog, given by the pressure gauge and the clock-type indicator, and digital, through the pressure transducer and the displacement transducer connected to the digital indicator.

It consists of a 30 kN (160 bar) pressure gauge, an analog indicator with a maximum reading of 50 mm, a 250 bar pressure transducer, a 50 mm displacement transducer, and a digital indicator.

Transducer displacement: 50 mm
Base measurement: 25 – 50 – 60 – 70 mm
